On October 3rd, almost 300 students from several public schools celebrated STUDIO’s 35th Anniversary in a tent on the Seagram Building Plaza. All students had the opportunity to both enjoy the artwork on view, created by pre-k through high school students participating in a STUDIO program, and respond to the work as well as the historical surroundings by making their own unique pieces. The Water Tank Project NYC Art Exhibition features select works by public high school students from each of New York City’s five boroughs who participated in the Spring 2012 Art Competition for The Water Tank Project. Curated by Neville Wakefield, Bettina Bryant and Mary Jordan, the exhibition will remain on view at the David Zwirner Gallery until October 6. Learn more about the exhibition at the end of this NY1 segment.
