About the STUDIO Artists Community
We created the STUDIO Artists Community because we believe that New York City's artists and arts community have a unique perspective and a special responsibility to support arts education and nurture the creative spirit of our City's young people. While the work of the Community is directed and driven by artists, we welcome as members all people who are connected with the arts in NYC and who are interested in supporting the artistic spirit of both the Community and the children it serves. If we don't care and take some initiative, who will?
What we do...
The heart of our work is partnering with STUDIO in a School, an organization that helps hundreds of thousands of New York City children develop their own creative vision and artistic skills through visual arts workshops led by professional artists. STUDIO's programs are held in public schools, daycare centers, and community organizations throughout the five boroughs.
